I have learned about Conditionals and Reported speech. This topic was a bit of a struggle for me because of the so many considerations on tenses, time expressions, usage, and so on. I have not studied grammar in a long time so this was a great review for me. The video lesson was really helpful. It was brief but direct and was simplified for easy comprehension. I gained more understanding on the grammar structures, usage, and considerations on how to teach it properly. As a teacher, it is important to be knowledgeable on these subjects. I have understood that Conditionals are determined by how the speaker sees the condition or event, the degree of possibility or how real the situation is, and whether it refers to the past, present or future. I have learned the proper grammatical structures and the proper usage for each conditionals. Students might want to start learning Conditionals because they want to express their hopes about the future, or say that something might happen. Reported Speech is really confusing for the most part because of the changes with verb tenses, patterns, pronouns, questions, and time expressions. I am grateful to review myself on this topic because I realized I had been making mistakes too. Through this lesson, I am grateful to learn some fun lesson ideas how I could teach these subjects in the future. The lesson ideas are really interesting.
