This unit covered the challenges that come with learning receptive skills of listening and reading. From this lesson, it seems clear that interesting and engaging material, which is also level appropriate, is important to maintain motivation and confidence for english language learners. Organizing lesson plans around interesting text or listening seems to be a promising way to help english language learners work on their receptive skills of listening and reading.
