In this unit, I learned about lesson planning. Perhaps the most important thing, from my own experience too, is to be flexible. Lesson plans rarely go perfectly, so budgeting in time and extra activities has always been helpful for my classes.
Additionally, it is a good idea to do self review after lessons. By seeing what went well and what didn't, we can find where we need to focus. Keeping these records will help us improve as teachers.
