This chapter reviewed the seven future tenses; future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, 'going to future', present simple, and present continuous. What was particularly interesting about this chapter was that it concerned itself with many of the varying usages and gets into the abstract concepts of English language and relative time. In contrast to Japanese and the students that I currently teach this idea of future tense is very confusing for them. I myself have struggled in many classes to try and explain the finite differences between timelines to my ESL students. This chapter was very helpful in reviewing some concert examples that I can use in future classes in relation to confusing and similar tenses to the ESL students like present simple and 'going to future tense'.
