In this unit I learned about methods in which to teach young learners and business english. When teaching young learners it is important to be as visual as possible, clear and concise, and to give feedback and attention to the students as they are looking for positive reinforcement from the teacher. It is also important to stick to your own rules that you have set up in the classroom and do not make empty threats. Children will be less likely to respect you if you do not follow your own rules or keep your promises. When teaching business english it is important to keep in mind that the students are generally working all day so they may be exhausted when they get to class. Because of this, as the teacher you may need to modify the course to take it slower or potentially even just make it into a conversation class.
