This unit was great to help me understand the importance of receptive skills and how they are equally as important as each other, as well as equally as important as writing and speaking. I always assumed that listening would be more difficult than reading due to only being able to hear it once, and I think that is something I will be trying to focus on with my students. I am learning another language myself, so I know it can be hard to focus on what someone is saying to me and translating it.
