This unit discusses the important aspects about teaching pronunciation and phonology. Phonology is very important as it teaches the learner the correct way to speak sentences through intonation, which words or syllables to put stress on to express certain meanings, and how to properly pronounce English words properly by studying the phonemic symbols. It further explains the place and manner of articulation of these symbols(sounds they produce) which makes it a lot easier to understand and correct any errors that might arise. The unit also gave me some ideas about how and when should I teach these techniques to students so that they can properly understand the concept.
