So, this unit is about productive skills in which is included writing and speaking. Both skills have the importance in the classroom as they are used for the same purpose - to communicate.
For making the students to speak, the teacher should create the need and desire in the students to communicate. There are lots of activities for speaking, such as : controlled activities, guided activities, creative communication. In the controlled activities are included drilling (choral and individual listening and repetition of teacher's model of pronunciation) and prompting ( Pre - planned question and answer is the most obvious example). In guided activities are included model dialogues and guided role - play. And in creative communication are included free role - play, discussions, information gap, debates, communication games.
Writing texts is different which separates it from speaking. There are a number differences not only in grammar and vocabulary but also in spelling, handwriting, punctuation and layout.
In this unit it is mentioned about the games in the classroom. And the games is divided into competitive and co - operative games. Also games are popular with children, teenagers and adults.
