This unit did not focus on the content that should be taught, but it instead focused on HOW to teach the content in ways that will elicit the best response from students. The most helpful and interesting aspect for me was the section on establishing rapport with students and discipline. Respect from students is so important in maintaining both interest and order in the classroom. When I become a teacher, I will refer back to these tips when considering how to create an inclusive, intimate and fun classroom that is also orderly and respectful.
