The final lesson covers troubleshooting potential problems. Generally, most of these solutions fall in the "common sense" category. A very useful section covers first lessons, which reminds teachers to ignore the textbook in order to build class rapport. The first lesson should be used to gauge the needs and interests of the students. Examples of warmers are given so that students are shocked by a sudden grammar quiz when they enter the classroom. How to approach different levels in a classroom and what to do with large classes are also discussed. In both cases, using the students to help each other is a good starting point to navigate difficulties. The use of the native language (a persistent issue in my Korean middle school classes) is explored. In my personal experience, some teachers will want to show off their language skills to their students in a a misguided attempt to build rapport (or worse, for their own practice), so it is useful to remind teachers to always use English in the classroom. Reluctant students shouldn't be pressured to participate, but instead given opportunities to do so. And listening texts shouldn't be disregarded, even if they are problematic. Instead, find ways to improve upon them and/or coach students beforehand.
