The unit explained the primary differences for the present tense forms. I already knew these pretty well as a result of trying to teach these to my students and encountering many questions about them. I did realize through the lesson that I don't have the best recollection of what the specific reasons are Ie: present perfect progressive is for relating actions that started in the past and are likely to continue to the present, vs present perfect relating actions from the past to the present without suggesting they are likely to continue. The smaller differences were things I was not able to explain on the spot. I also hadn't really figured out WHY students make some of the mistakes that they do make. Now that is much clearer and I need to make sure to remember and use the reasoning to help the next students that might be a little confused.
