This unit covers conditionals and reported speech. A conditional is an "if/then" statement. This can be broken down into five main categories, they are as follows, zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. Reported speech is when a direct statement by someone is reported to a third person. This is a fairly complex idea to learn in a foreign language. This unit predicts student difficulty with these concepts and suggests moving slowly.
