This unit was very helpful in terms of sample lesson plans with respect to the activities related to Engage. Study. and Activate phases of lessons. Using the sample lesson plan, activity sheets/study materials, and the task at the end of the unit to plan a lesson using these materials proved a useful practical exercise. While I have planed lessons before, the different lesson structures allow for flexibility in planning in order to forecast time allotted for certain activities and preparing for possible difficulties and incorporating contingencies in to the planned timing.
