Content of unit 14 is the course book and lesson materials. Beside course books, there are two kinds kind of materials that a teacher can choose when teaching a new language: authentic materials, anything a native speaker would hear or read such as newspapers, songs, poems etc. and created materials, activities usually designed by the teacher like role-play cards, gap-fill activities, etc. When using a course book we as teachers should be aware of advantages, disadvantages and best use of course books. These three points are discussed in the unit and finally the init ends with a list of factors to take into consideration when analysing a course book.
