We covered the major terminology and basic rules for grammar in this unit. I was able to refresh my memory on how to define parts of a sentence. I was familiar with how to define verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs but I was less familiar with how to define prepositions, gerunds, articles, conjunctions, and pronouns before the unit. I find the most confusing terms to be prepositions, adverbs, and pronouns as they link together nouns and verbs in different combinations/context. Prepositions and adverbs both have time and place based words, while prepositions have movement based words and adverbs have frequency, matter, and degree based words. I think these parts of speech could also be more confusing for students.
