Unit 12 is devoted to productive skills of language. These skills are: writing and speking. As it was mentioned a lot of studends and teachers over estimate the role of speaking skill. As an ESL we should bear in mind the the great attention should be paid to the writing skill too. Nevertheless some teachers does not pay enough attention to this skill. I think that a lot of attention should be paid to development of writing skills at the early stage. I want to write a few words about pre-writing and writing activities for young kids. Pre-writing activities help young children to develop their fine motor skill. These skills are the great ground for their future language learning. The other part is devoted to accuracy and fluency activities. This area is very important for unexprienced teachers. Sometimes teacher forget about great importance of clear choice and aproppriate usage of different activities. As a rule accuracy activities are typical for study phase of the lesson. I think the more accuracy activities are during the study phase the more effective is lesson. The main accuracy activities are drilling, prompting, model dialogues and guided role play. As a rule these activities are great for primary school students. Fluency activities are focused on the creative usage of language not on the accuracy of language. I think this activity is great for Engage phase of ESA lesson. As a rule discussions and debates are suitable. The next part is devoted to difficulties that may be. I can agree that each teacher can have difficulties how his/her students start to speak. As a rule these issues are connected with a lack of confidence. Teacher should encourage students to discover their capability to speak. The main key to manage are different activities as pair work , role play or model dialogues. The great part of this unit is a guidelines for free or creative speaking . All these points are useful to build up students` confidence. It can be applied to both teacher and a student. The next part is devoted to writing skills. This area demands a lot of students` efforts. As a rule during writing a great attention is paid to handwriting, punctuation and spelling. As a rule pronunciation is left outside. The next part is devoted to games. All the games can be devided into two big groups: competitive games and co-operative games. I think that very useful thing is that all useful games are indicated in this unit. This unit if great! Than you ITTT!
