This unit covers any problems a teacher may face with students and ways to overcome them. These include new classes, mixed level learners, large classes, reluctant students and problems with listening skills. When taking a new class the students need to get to know each other and develop a rapport with the teacher, there are games that can be played in order to help this ie pass the ball. Strong and weak students can be paired together in mixed level classes, and in large classes groups can be formed with leaders. Reluctent students can be helped with pair work and role-plays and avoiding 'putting them on the spot' until they are more comfortable. Listening skills can be improved by slowing down the tape and repeating it. Will all issues they can be overcome with some thought and creativity by the teacher.
