This unit covered more english grammar, it covered modal auxiliary verbs, the passive voice,relative clauses and phrasal verbs. A modal auxiliary verbs are verbs that add meaning to other verbs and are used to express ideas such as politeness, the possibility, permission, ability, advice or probability or obligation. For example "you must leave". The passive voice is where a sentence is changed so the focus of the sentence is not the agent but on the object ie the agent becomes far less important. Relative clauses are dependent clauses which give further information about the noun. These can be both defining or non defining meaning they are essential to the sentence or not. Phasal verbs are two or three words joined together which work as one, ie take off, come up with. Within these there are intransitive- can not be followed by a direct object. Transitive separable-an object noun can come inbetween and transitive inseperables- object phrase comes after the particle.
