This Unit clearly states the qualities, roles, and responsibilities that a Teacher and Student should have and develop in the classroom. In my opinion the most important quality is that as Teacher we should have a good subject knowledge because its important to be clear and be prepared for the lesson to clear out any doubt from the Students and be specific with the explanation and also have a good rapport and interaction with the class in order to make the class interesting and give the Students a good learning environment and be able to motivate them. Each role that I have learned about in this unit depends always on the type of activity you need to develop, and during a class, the Teacher is likely to perform more than one role. I also learned about the difference between young learners and adults, so the Teacher should be aware of several facts to lead a class. The Unit also states the different levels of ability, and some will depend on the place you work or the material that you use. And I learned about The Common European Framework which is a guideline used to describe achievements of learners of foreign languages. Also, the many reasons that a Student may have to learn English.
