The first unit essentially deals with the basic qualities and skills that a good teacher must have, some of which are, patience, kindness and the ability to motivate students and involve them equally. Not to mention the crucial responsibilities and the major roles which a teacher should adopt in the classroom with the students. The unit also covers various aspects of different learners' backgrounds such as age, motivation, culture and language level. From this unit, I have personally learnt that becoming a good learner depends on having a good teacher. In my opinion, the passion for teaching English goes hand in hand with the responsibilities that come along with it. Thus, I believe that in order to guarantee a successful learning experience for the students it is important to acquire all the attributes that will meet the learners' needs and expectations.
