This unit exclusively focuses on the act of teaching new language with emphasis on vocabulary, grammar and functions. At the very beginning of the Unit it points out that no matter what the level of the class might be or how the teacher arranges the study phase of the lesson, there are four things that students need to do with a new language and those are, they need to be exposed to as much of it as possible, they need to understand the language meaning when used, they need to understand how it’s constructed and finally they need to be able to practice and reproduce the language. The remainder of the lesson focuses on way that the teacher can accomplish these objectives.
