Testing and evaluation are key parts of having a successful english class. Different test are used for different parts of the class. A placement test will be given first to determine the level to start. Progress tests will be most commonly used to examine the progress of learning, these tests should be short and comprehendible. Diagnostic tests can be used throughout the year to see what is already known and what areas are more difficult. Practice test are used to prepare for an external large examine.
