Equipment is a very important factor to consider in the classroom. There are many good reasons to add equipment to the classroom and each type of equipment can be helpful. There are many kinds of equipment to use. However, teachers mostly consider Interactive WhiteBoards (IWBs), regular whiteboards, visuals, and Overhead Projectors, as a few ways to help learning to be more effective. When you use a whiteboard or IWB, you want to plan out what you are going to write on the board in your lesson plan first. You want to make sure it is not confusing or scattered for the students to be able to retain the information you have presented. Visuals help in introducing new objects or ideas. The visual aids help maintain the student's attention and help them to also be able to retain the information by relation to certain items or things. However, at times these items may be limited. Overhead Projectors, although an old form of technology, can still be extremely helpful in the classroom. The Overhead Projector helps the students to be able to do Engaging activities or classroom worksheets for the Study Phase of class. However, you want to make sure the device is working properly without error before class. When you consider equipment, although as helpful as it is, always make sure you have a back up plan. If you make sure the equipment is working properly before class, you will have less chances of issues arising. Nevertheless, equipment can be an effective tool and helps the classroom environment be more influential on the student and allows the teacher to rise to success.
