This unit provided me with knowledge on the qualities, roles and responsibilities of teachers and students in the classroom to create a productive learning environment.
Teachers adopt different roles in the classroom to teach more effectively. These roles may depend on the lesson objectives, students’ needs and learning styles, and types of activities involved.
As a teacher, I understand that learners vary depending on several factors, so it is important for me to know them - their differences, their preferences and their motivation. By being familiar with their background, personality, and aptitude, I can develop a suitable lesson plan and employ appropriate roles to educate them successfuly.
