A phrasal verb in English is a verb that carries an adverb or a preposition. It consists of two words and sometimes three. As for example, I look forward to it. This verb phrasal is composed of a verb (to look) and an adverb (to advance) and the preposition to. The verb "to look" means to look, but the verb phrasal "to wait" means to wait. The adverb or preposition can totally change the meaning of the verb they accompany.
