This unit looked at various tests used during an English language course, prior during and after. The benefits of taking tests to the teacher and the students so they can see their progress, and evaluate what know and need to spend more time in learning further. It explained further the types of tests taken by various countries in relation to further study at university when English is not your native language to applying for a job and the need to see how proficient one is in English for reading, writing, listening and speaking. Also the type of tests used by countries to evaluate a person's proficiency in English when newcomers to their nation. I found this unit quite interesting to read about the different types of testing and levels for each depending on the purpose of needing to communicate in English.
