In this unit, I learned about the productive skills, writing and speaking, as well as how games can be utilized in the classroom. Writing is one of the most difficult skills, as it requires correct handwriting, punctuation, and spelling. Speaking is also difficult, as it requires fluency and accuracy. Accuracy activities are more controlled by the teacher, whereas fluency activities are more controlled by the students. Helping students develop their confidence with their productive skills is an important element of teaching English.
