It was interesting to engage in more detail about the difference between teaching vocabulary versus grammar. It is important to remember that there is a difference between the two, and that the activities used in one can be similar, but must have different teaching points. I am beginning to better understand the different lesson paths, eg ESA, and how they can be effectively used in a number of different language settings. Finally, when reflecting on my own practice, I should make efforts to limit my descriptions of the origins of words, instead focusing more on their usage.
