In this section we learned about ways to teach young learners and business students. Obviously they are vastly different in techniques, material and presentation, but all still follow ESA format. When teaching young learners, we must keep in mind which level of beginner they are at, whether they have had absolutely zero English to knowing some but definitely needing extra reading and writing practice. It is important to use a few useful techniques with beginners such as: clear and concise directions, homework most nights for practice, do not expect too much out of each lesson (do not overload with information) and use pair or group work frequently. When teaching business students on the other hand, teachers need to keep in mind that most of the students are learning after a full days of work, meaning they will be tired and possibly didn't have time to do homework like regular school students. Business students ages can vary highly as well, from 20s to 50s, and with that, their English levels can vary highly as well. Which is why it is important to do a "Needs Analysis" before starting with the course.
