This unit covers some of the most common problems we as teachers can find in our classes and what we can do in these situations where we can, for example, use activities that can help us create a low anxiety atmosphere from the beginning of a new course, motivate our students – even if we have a large class, how to make sure we give our students a correct level of attention- deal with different levels in the same class, make shy or reluctant students to get more involved and participate, or even avoid or deal with the use of our students’ native language in our classes. What I think I learned the most about in this unit, as in many other units from this course, could definitely be techniques from the examples of activities we can have in our classes to prevent some of the most common problems from happening, or just to deal with them once we encounter them in our classes. It also gave me the opportunity to make an overall review and analysis from what I learned in the entire course, which is a lot, going from reviewing grammar contents, learning about different groups, teaching resources, deal with problems, and above all, how to plan lessons effectively with the ESA methodology. I think now I have a better perspective and hopefully more knowledge and better skills to plan my lessons and make them more complete, creative, fun and fruitful for my students.
