Teaching in an ESL classroom previously, I am always trying to reduce teacher talk time (TTT) as much as possible. This unit reminded me that TTT is still important because it is the resource for native correct English in the classroom. Establishing rapport with students can also be tough. This unit informed me that ways to do this can be as simple as being punctual, smiling and having a positive attitude, and letting students correct and help each other.
