This unit focuses on equipment and teaching aids. I feel the most useful aids are understanding how to use a whiteboard, visuals, computers (although the first school I taught in had no access to computers, so it is important to be able to teach entirely without them), CD players or anything that can play back music (kids love learning through music, it is a great motivator and treat for the kids at the end of a lesson), and videos. Videos are great, because they show real life usage and conversations and also can help with pronunciation and other areas while maintaining the students' attention.
