In this unit, I have learned that I don't need to have background knowledge of the particular field I choose to English in, although it would be an advantage. Also, as a professional and licensed teacher in my country, I have embraced the importance of the teacher-learner/student relationship and that one part cannot succeed without the other. Both of them must work hand-in-hand to achieve the student's goals. As a teacher, I am here to be flexible and adjust to the needs of the learner and not just complete a course syllabus. My role as a teacher either stands or falls in the behavioral change in the learner. Seeing my students' progress and inculcating in them an intrinsic drive to learn, thus having the ownership in their personal development is my kind of achievement as a teacher/instructor.***
