There are numbers of reasons why the students are having difficulty when studying a new language. In this unit, it discussed the problems that a teacher might encounter especially if he/she is new in the teaching position. There are lots of activities that a teacher can use for the first lesson. You might want to use these activities instead of going straight to the course book as you may want to build a rapport between your students first. Building a rapport between the teacher and students is really challenging but this is important as you go along with your lessons. Some of the activities that may help the teacher to establish rapport are; pass the ball game, questionnaire or survey and so on.
