This unit covered forms of conditional and reported speech. Conditionals allow us to talk about hypothetical situations, with the exception of the zero conditional which talks about actions or facts that are irrefutable. Reported speech is a way of sharing statements or questions made (by oneself or others). Reported speech requires attention to possible shifts in several aspects of the direct speech, including the subject, the verb tense and any markers of times referred to in the original quote (e.g., today, yesterday, next week, etc.)
