This unit focused on The four past tenses, past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. It touched on their similarities with the three forms of the present tenses i.e. affirmative, negative and question. In the case of past simple the importance of irregular verb forms was stressed. Formulas were given for each past tense to make them easier to identify along with a section of examples and common mistakes made by students.
