I gained a lot of knowledge by doing this tefl course. I have no previous experience in teaching line but I used to give tuitions to the students when I was young and also worked as a volunteer teacher. This course gave me useful tips that can help me to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. The course provides a good knowledge of grammar as well as basic skills and techniques that are essential for successful language teaching. The video for unit 10 gave me the example of an actual class and the effects of bad teaching and good teaching. The course covered all the areas of the language like grammar, vocabulary, lesson-plan, teaching the four skills, teaching the students of different age groups and class management. The most important thing that I learnt from the course is ‘lesson-plan’. Lesson-plan helps the teacher to be on right track to achieve the aim of the lesson at the end of the class and is very useful for the inexperienced teachers. I think I can use the knowledge that I gained through this course as a useful tool when the opportunity comes for me to work as a teacher. Now I think I can teach children the english language with confidence.
