I have gained an understanding of how to teach and how to make and teach a lesson plan that is suited to a particular group of students. It was also helpful to learn all the different aspects of teaching and students that are at play in a classroom setting. I have also learnt how to use course books as part of a lesson plan but most importantly to be flexible and to adapt a lesson to the circumstances and the students’ need because no matter how well prepared you are things don’t always go according to your lesson plan. It is also important to set your lesson around materials that are relevant to your students in order to maintain their interest and keep them motivated. I intend to use all that I have learnt to prepare solid lessons and to have good rapport with my students in order to bring out the best in them so that they may be proficient in the language.
