I have learned there is so much preparation work that goes behind teaching just one lesson. I have learned how to construct an effective lesson plan, as well as, ideas for each of the three teaching stages (engage, study, activate). I gained a lot of insight in regards to the teaching process, what to expect as a new teacher, how to become a good teacher, what I should do to give my students a great learning experience, and basic grammar techniques I didn't think twice about by being a native english speaker. I plan to take my experience step by step. I will take this course's advice in being overly prepared and doing extensive amounts of research to make lessons exciting and varied. I will put forth my creativity to make sure my students are learning, enjoying the experience, all while I'm learning along side them.
