Being a native english speaker, I assumed, quite inaccurately I might add, that the course would be a revision of what I learnt (or thought I learnt) in school.
While completing the various tasks in each unit, I learnt a great deal about the english language which I had either forgotten or never learnt prior, and, at times, found that I was quite frustrated with myself for not knowing the work.
I found the course to be very enlightening and very well structured. I feel as though I have gained immense knowledge of the english language as well as skills required to begin my adventure in TEFL.
My favourite part of the course was having to put together various lesson plans, and finding various different activities to ensure that the lesson was not only enjoyed by all but, that the point of the lesson was learnt.
Overall I feel that the course covered any areas which are indispensable when entering a classroom and has instilled within me the confidence to begin teaching EFL.
I intend to begin tutoring Israeli school students while looking for a position within the school system. I am hoping to further my studies while I gain hands-on experience teaching EFL.
