I have learned a lot and developed many different skills throughout tefl course. First, the course presented a clear structure of english grammar which influenced me a lot, and it gave me a clear thought of imparting my students. Second, I used to have a problem with managing the class, and couldn’t stop students speaking their native language in the class. The course gave me many tips, such as ESA method, class management, troubleshooting etc, to teach.
I have been putting what I have learned from TEFL course into practice for some time. For each lesson I had to prepare all my own original materials which would often take anything up to 5 hours for a 50 minute class. I would write a very detailed lesson plan, in which every minute was planned. Because of this I was extremely well prepared for every lesson. All the lessons I taught were very successful, I achieved my objectives in all lessons. I believe this was due to the relaxed learning environment I created, as well as good lesson preparation. I always tried to find out where I still need to improve after every lesson I taught and was able to use this to improve my lesson for the following lesson.
I found my experiences of learning TEFL course highly rewarding and satisfying.
