I am not a native English speaker so I know how hard it is to study another language especially without getting help from good teachers. I luckily met a couple of great English teachers while I was studying English and they gave me lots of support. As I am an experienced English learner, I would like to share my know-how with many new English learners and help them ease of ‘pain’. That is why I chose to take EFL course. The course has provided me with great skills and tips for becoming a successful teacher. I, in fact, was very curious why many units have the task of writing a lesson/teaching plan. I thought there was no need for that many repetitions. However, I’ve now found out that my planning skills such as activity and class management ideas have improved a lot. I cannot imagine giving a lesson to a class without a pre-prepared lesson plan ; ‘panic’ is replaced by ‘flexibility’!!!
My ex-English teachers should have an English teaching
certificate such Tesol, EFL etc. While I was studying EFL, every unit reminded me of my ex-teachers - the ways they taught me, the activities they prepared, their skills for managing the class - all of these skills I admired are all in the EFL course units I have studied!!!! I am really lucky to complete this course!!!!
I will try to think in the students’ side and also try to motivate /help/advice/guide them to reach their goals.
