This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I have gained understanding of english grammar and how to produce creative and useful lesson plans. I will use the explanations and exercises over grammar to teach students correctly and to give full instructions. I have also learned about classroom management and the importance of understanding a student’s culture as well as their interests. This will be helpful in the future to create rapport with students and productive learning environments. Another tool that I have learned is comprehending phonetics. Understanding phonetics will help connect communication between the students and myself. Other skills I have obtained are how to properly teach vocabulary, reading and listening. I will use these skills in the classroom and have reference for the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to take this course and excited for potential career options.
