I have gained an understanding of how to structure lessons effectively, from the importance of keeping students interested and engaged through interesting activities to the way to introduce and develop skills in a particular area. I have also gained an awareness of the importance of knowing the background and needs of students from the outset to ensure the lessons are geared to their specific needs. I have without a doubt learned a great deal about english grammar which I am so please about because despite being a native english speaker, my knowledge was very patchy!! I have also grown in confidence and feel I now have the ability to run a well-structured, well delivered course.
I am planning to move permanently to my husband's country of origin (Jordan) and use my skills to help teach local children english.
