This course has taught me a whole variety of things. The most important thing that I learned is the way I should handle/react different situations that can happen in a class.
As an english speaker (having spent most my life in Europe) I have learnt a lot over the years, but most of it has been forgotten form misuse. This course has helped me "revive" my previous lessons, and has allowed me to look at the information from the point of view that a teacher has.
It has also helped me learn to better organize my lessons. In the past, I have helped a couple students who needed some help with english, but I was at a loss because I did not know where to start. Now I feel confident that I can lay a well-planned lesson out that will both teach the student and challenge him or her to work harder.
Overall, I feel the course has set a good mold for me, a basic structure for me to work off of. I hope that in the future I will use my certificate to be a teacher not just of the language, but of the culture as well.
