This course has provided me with a wide range of skills and knowledge that will be extremely useful when leading a TEFL class of my own. First, it has reinforced my understanding of english grammar, an understanding that is vital to teaching english classes, and it has taught me ways to effectively teach grammar. I plan to model grammar lessons on lessons I received from this course, employing very controlled and focused worksheets and activities. Next, it has taught me a great deal about classroom management and effective teaching skills. I plan to use this instruction when leading a class of my own, making sure to identify students’ language level, structure lessons that are appropriate and entertaining, and make use of teaching tips such as to never use the students’ native language.
