Personally, I have gained a lot from the course. Initially, I thought it would be somewhat easy, considering that I have been speaking english all my life. However, it has proven challenging and I am sure that I will develop into a strong ESL teacher because of the course.
I have gained a renewed appreciation for tenses, something I took for granted. Learning how to write a lesson plan has also been very rewarding and has helped me to appreciate the effort of many of my past teachers.
I plan to go overseas this year, hopefully on the japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme. If, for whatever reason, I am not accepted, I plan to apply for assistant ESL positions in various countries. I am very excited to begin my journey.
