TESOL is a very promptly structured and well detailed course and has given me an insight on all the minutes of the language that we need to teach as language teachers, not just that it has also given me a chance to study the details of the various topics covered which enhanced my knowledge and made me more confident to face my students. The video was very helpful to practically feel how the attitude of the teacher matters and I think now onwards whenever I’ll enter any class this video will pop in my mind and guide me to be effective. Apart from that, the grammar covered helped in clarifying my thoughts not only in its usage but majorly how its delivery could be made fun and interesting. This would really help me cover the grammatical portion in a much innovative manner then how I used to do till now. The skills taught, both receptive and productive, guided me to know how to deal and cover all the required skills of the language ie. Speaking, listening, reading and writing. Till now our focus used to be more on reading and writing alone. Most of all, it was the lesson plan that I always was so scared about but with so much of practice that I received during the course I have become comfortable with them. When it comes to usage of the course, I would say that with all the knowledge I have gained during this course would always be very useful to me whether I am teaching in my own country or abroad. However, for now being a non – native teacher based in hong kong, this course comes as a boon to me as it taught me to deal with the multilingual students which I would be doing here. With that, I also would be able to implement the pattern or the methodology, tools and techniques that I learnt during this course to cope with the international standards of Hong Kong.
