This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

Having been a second language learner myself, it was interesting and extremely informative to study teaching a second language. While reading through the units, I could reflect back to the classroom and see how my teachers had used the very same techniques I was learning in this course. Having this connection allowed me to understand why these techniques are used and why they
work.
Of course learning grammar was important to me while studying, as I previously had very little knowledge of english grammar. And having reached the end of the course, although my knowledge of grammar is by no means complete, I feel much more confident about teaching a class compared to when I started.
Apart from grammar, I will of course put into action all the teaching methods (lesson plans, dealing with shy students, creating interesting classes etc) that I learnt in this course. But just like what was taught, after gaining confidence and experience as a teacher, I will look to improvise and use my own teaching methods to create the most productive and interesting lessons possible.
